How the different Super Smash Bros versions might connect

One of the most anticipated titles coming to the Wii U is a new Super Smash Bros game. It was announced at E3 that a Super Smash Bros game would be coming to both the Wii U and the 3DS. Iwata also mentioned that the two versions would also connect with each other in some way.

Masahiro Sakurai has shared a few ways that Super Smash Bros 3DS and Wii U versions might connect.

He would like to allow players to build up their character through battle and rewards, then take their custom character to the Wii U version to face off against everyone. He feels it could be nice if they can make the “personal” portable space and the stadium-like “public” console space mesh together. He also went on to say that the connectivity between the two consoles will make the Super Smash Bros experience even more enjoyable.

Iwata summed up the idea as players would spend time on the 3DS version, building up their character and collecting stuff, then show off their skills on the Wii U version.

Sakurai also said that the game would have 60 frames per secodnd action and have nice visual effects, all in HD of course. I can’t wait to see what they end up with, especially how they intend to utilise the Wii U’s new controller.

Can’t wait , my first game was brawl and love it, i will have both systems so this is going to be awesome. They just need to balance some characters out a little better and i am set.

I’m definitely looking forward to any Super Smash Bros. 3DS/Wii U related posts in the future, as if their hopes for the game become an utmost reality, (which I’m sure they will, Nintendo is awesome and rarely make mistakes…..however, an example of one of their mistakes is the rather pricy titles located on the eShop) then it will surly become a great addition to the new/upcoming Era of gaming.

i honestly don’t think there should be custom characters…
if he means customising the skins and costumes of fighters, that’s perfect, but i dont think it should be anything else, only because it might make the other characters(fighters who came with the game) less important and unreliable…
but yeah i see what he is trying to say somehow and this is sick…
i just have some more ideas, but i cant really say anything, plus nothing is said yet…

they should add something like mario racing they could call it race to the finish or something
also during race you could collect trophies, coins and new assist trophies for your matches i think would be a good idea
