New Super Mario Bros. U features a continuous world

At their September 13th conference, Nintendo revealed that New Super Mario Bros. U will feature a continuous, singular world similar to the one in 1991′s Super Mario World. The “worlds” will not be divided as in other New Super Mario Bros. games.

    Cool. I still think it’s weird how it just goes from Grasslands to Dessert. I think it would have been cool to make a gradual change instead of pretty much drawing a line with dessert on one side and grasslands on the other

    It makes me feel like its just more of “Well World did this so everyone loved that” type of thing going on. So far all the new about this game have been rather unimpressive. Unfortunately this is our big first launch title and I’ve always found the NSMB series rather unimpressive.
