Square Enix are looking into the Wii U
According to Now Gamer, Square Enix producer Yoshinori Kitase admits that they have been looking into the Wii U as a possible platform to bring the Final Fantasy franchise to.
“Three or four years ago we joked around about developing a Final Fantasy game on the Wii Fit balance board,” Kitase told NowGamer at E3. “But after seeing Wii U revealed at Nintendo’s conference, we are now considering the possibilities of bringing the Final Fantasy series to the format.”
Final Fantasy 15 to be a Wii U exclusive? Probably not but it’s nice to see that Square are taking the Wii U seriously.
On a related note, it’s worth noting that Square Enix is planning to set up a ‘next-generation’ studio for the eight generation of home consoles.
