if the friend system is gonna be like ps3 then thats epic cause i hate that when my wii messed up i lost all my friends that i had gotten but now like when i have to get a new one the information can be carried over thats so freaking epic looking for to this thing revolutionises everythig

There really isn’t a need for a ton of RAM. PCs are designed to run multiple applications at one time, and you need much RAM for that, but in a video game system, you are, for the most part, running only one process at a time. There is just no need for a whole lot.

Really the current IBM statements point away from Wiiboy101′s predictions. All we really know is that the chipset will use IBM’s latest eDRAM technology something you won’t see in the chipset originally put forth by Wiiboy101. This is something closer to a Power7 based chipset since that is the only chip using this eDRAM.

The Wii U has its own games, but is also fully backwards compatible with Wii games. No support for DS or GameCube games, though.

As for the release, all we know is that we’re getting it sometime after April next year.
