Darksiders 2 Wii U to be better than Xbox and PS3 versions?
David Adams, the general manager of Vigil games, the developer behind Darksiders recently expressed his opinion about bringing Darksiders 2 to the Wii U. And it’s his opinion that the Wii U version could be better than the Xbox and PS3 versions. While speaking to Game Informer he shared his thoughts about Darksiders and Nintendo.
“I love Zelda. I love Mario, and I’ve never actually made a game that’s gone on a Nintendo platform, so for me that’s just awesome. I think that if you look at the Darksiders franchise, it’s a little more mature, but it has that similar aesthetic to a Nintendo game. I feel like it’s a natural fit from a gameplay and platform perspective.” He told Game Informer.
When asked whether he thought the Wii U version was the best he said; “Yeah, just because the hardware is more powerful and it will have some extra features that I think will actually be useful to people playing the game. With it’s controller, [the Wii U version of Darksiders II] might be the best version of the game.”
More interesting than the fact that the Wii U version of the game will be the best version is the fact that developers seem to be embracing the console’s new controller and are thinking of innovative uses for it. Adams also explained that they were thinking about how the controller could enhance the Darksiders experience rather than just resorting to gimmicks.
