Molyneux: Wii U will “have to blow us away” at E3
Fable creator Peter Molyneux has been sharing his views about the Wii U and E3 2012 to Kotaku.
The former head of Lionhead Studios explained that Nintendo’s “slightly lacklustre” console will have to “blow us away” at E3 2012 with “better specs” and a good first party lineup.
It seems that Nintendo have a job ahead of them to impress those who aren’t quite sure about the Wii U yet and to demonstrate that the console is not “lacklustre”. First party support will indeed be important if the Wii U is to escape the same criticisms of the 3DS. I don’t think E3 2012 can come quick enough.

Wow, really? Way to go stating the obvious!
who the hell in their right minds would believe this guy after everything he’s said and done in the past?
I was waiting patiently for this nonsense to be posted. Quite frankly in my opinion he has no room to talk. I’m not saying his a good developer but for the past 5+ years he made outrageous claims that his Fable games were the best thing since sliced bread. They were just simply put, ok. Nothing to write home about. I find it rather humorous that he still continues his “I’m high and mighty” trend. I personally believe this is more like a “open mouth, insert foot” scenario. He’s a great bs’er and if that’s good enough for others ignore this post.
Not saying he’s not a good developer. Oops. Wish they had an editor lol!
LOL! I remember when he said fable would be the best rpg ever.. hahahaha!
wipes tear from eye* sigh* I wonder if him and Pachter are like cousins or something…..
who is this guy, and what did he ever do? He is a joke
He made the fable games, so that’s something.
Nintendo seems to always prove the critics wrong with a certain pair of red goggles being the exception. With Pikmin, and that new Retro Studio’s project, it just be enough to completely blast us away.
Wouldn’t lose too much sleep over the opinion of someone refer to as “The Hype Master” lol!
this guy makes pachter look like a holy saint he is seriously the Lucifer of the industry ,he claims shigsy like credit for innovation that has never happened he lords it as tho his some king of the industry and looks down on everyone else

I think Nintendo will have to show us just what the Wii U can do, and I do think they’ll need to present some techs that’ll show us the Wii U is more than enough for the next-generation. I don’t think, however, that they need to “blow us away” in terms of being some monster with ridiculous horsepower. It just needs to prove to be able to noticeably surpass PS3.
Why? Because to get those “mind-blowing” cutting-edge graphics costs a lot more money to produce and frankly, a console doesn’t even begin to see such power being reached until during its middle of its life cycle. I mean, they haven’t even used more than half the current PS3’s total power for most its games, and it’s almost 6 years old–it’s proving to be more power than developers can already afford.
Nintendo will need to provide the info that Wii U is more powerful than PS3, but I seriously doubt developers will even need a console that’s like, say, six times more powerful than Xbox 360. I think the emphasize will be on innovation instead (as usual).
Dude!It is even likely to pass the PS4 and the “Nextbox”.The competitors probably wont be any better. The graphics of the new systems have finally caught up with the time.So in a nut shell they will basicaly be on par!
3/4 x x360 seems to be a sweet spot match a gaming rig pc at HD tv resolutions combined with a high performance scaling ability that’s more than enough…and im no resolution junky….
Im sick of skeptics but dont worry. They will be proven wrong.
