Square Enix confident in the Wii U, but not “certain”
Square Enix’s Yoshinori Kitase, who previously mentioned the possibility of bringing Final Fantasy to the Wii U, has commented on the Wii U, praising its tech specs and HD visuals. However, while he hopes that his company’s multiplatform titles will see releases on it, he isn’t entirely sure it’s going to happen.
With the Wii U, it’s great that there’s a high definition console from Nintendo on the market, which was previously lacking. As far as the specs are concerned, the Wii U seems like something we could develop easily for as well. Hopefully that becomes part of our multiplatform lineup, but we can’t be certain as of now.

I hope they bring it over.
I will disown square-enix forever it they release a game like chocobo dungeon on Wii U and put Final Fantasy games on PS3 and 360
I will forever love Square-enix if they release a game like Mario RPG on the Wii U.
how can you be confident, but not certain? wouldnt the confidence come from being certain?
I hope Square Enix puts the main Final Fantasy’s on the Wii U.
I hope they bring Final Fantasy over. Give the Wii U a exclusive FF game, like Versus XIII.
Exclusive FF game please, chop chop! make it snappy!
I own a ps3 xbox 360 and a wii but I don’t know if I want to buy the new xbox 720 because it sounds like things are getting too technical I still don’t know how old school the ps4 will be but I like it old school. I realy hope square enix puts titles like final fantasy on the wii u because nintendo seems to be the closest thing to old school at least they have the other controller for role playing games! and the new controller is neat unlike the wii remote come on square enix u had some great final fantasy hits on nintendo in the past do it again!
Final Fantasy has fallen off, its dried up. Too many sequels of the same BS. Square needs to step-up and develop a different game concept instead of always going back to its hole and thinking that final fantasy will keep the company alive for ever.
