Nintendo Land announcement

The bulborb seems to take a fancy to the train, er, yes. Nintendo Land, a Wii U exclusive party game. Featuring a wide array of Nitnendo franchise classics, such as Zelda, Metroid, and Pikmin, this game brings them together in an amusement park environment. Featuring mini-games, exploration, and co-op, this game is sure to be a blast for multiplayer and singleplayer action. There will be twelve different areas to choose from, such as Luigi’s Ghost House. There are no waiting in lines and you can join in the fun through Miiverse, allowing you to play with friends and family all over the world.

LEGO City Undercover announced

LEGO City Undercover has been announced for both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. You can use the Wii U pad to search for hidden criminals and go undercover in various uniforms. Your job is to defeat and bring criminals to justice. You have a slew of vehicles and modes to travel and gameplay isn’t lacking. You can also build various structures, such as a Mario warp pipe in some cases.

Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition coming to Wii U

Batman: Arkham City is coming to Wii U, and it’ll be an enhanced “Armored Edition” that will use the Wii U GamePad’s touchscreen and gyro sensor. There will be a item similar to Skyward Sword’s beetle, and the touchscreen will allow the player to use skills and weapons in combat. Also, you’ll be able to use some kind of explosive gas using the touchscreen.

Scribblenauts Unlimited announced for Wii U

Scribblenauts Unlimited, the latest entry in the well-received Scribblenauts series, has been announced for the Wii U. The game features an open world, the ability to create your own objects (and share them online!), a local multiplayer mode, and hand-drawn HD visuals.

This is the Wii U’s home menu

We now have a glimpse at the home menu for the Wii U. Straight away you’ll have Miiverse features, allowing you to converse with friends and family on the Wii U console. Different people are drawn into the game or menu you typically associate with them the most with Miiverse. Consider this the main street of the Wii U console. You’ll be able to access essentially everything with the console.

The Wii U supports 2 GamePads at once

Nintendo has confirmed support for two Wii U GamePads. However, that also confirms that for multiplayer sessions with more than 2 players simultaneously, Wii U Pro Controllers (or Wii Motes) will most likely be required.

Wii U console and gamepad information

We now have a detailed look for the Wii U gamepad. Features include built in rumble, an infrared port, and detailed microphone and camera. This allows for various things such as video calls. You can also “click” the two analog sticks in for additional buttons. Also, it was announced that Wii U will have Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube available on the console.

New Super Mario Bros. U announcement

New Super Mario Bros. U, previously called New Super Mario Bros. Mii, shown at E3 has shown us a lot more about the game, including new powerups, abilities, and gameplay options. For starters, if four people are playing with Wiimotes, somebody with a Wii U gamepad can help them by creating blocks or doing other various things to aid in completing obstacles and getting a new highscore. Miiverse will be heavily implemented in the game, so you can show off records and chat in the midst of the game. You can also share screenshots ingame and show off you mood. Also making a return is Yoshi, with a few new abilities as well. When he hatches, you have to feed him to make him grow, much like Super Mario World for SNES.

Pikmin 3 Revealed


Pikmin 3 has been unveiled! We have new Pikmin, such as the rock Pikmin, more realistic effects, such as Pikmin finding natural things to build bridges with, and a beautiful HD display. You can play on the nun-chuck and Wiimote or simply by using the Wii U controller. We have the ability to use four leaders in the game as well. A new mode includes a a fruit collecting mode.
